PRF uses a concentration of your own blood to restore smooth, youthful skin. A sample of your blood is drawn into a vial and placed in a centrifuge, which spins the sample at a high speed to separate the different components of the blood.
Following centrifugation, the PRF sample contains high concentrations of platelets, along with white blood cells, fibrin, and a certain type of stem cells. When injected into specific areas of your face, the platelets create volume as the foundation for skin rejuvenation, while growth factors and fibrin help produce new collagen beneath your skin. Collagen is your body’s own supportive structure beneath your skin. It diminishes with age, but PRF helps restore it.

One of the differences between PRP and PRF is that PRP releases its growth factor slowly over an extended period, whereas PRF releases its growth factors in a matter of hours. Also, collagen production with PRF has been shown to be longer lasting than that of PRP therapy.
Dr. Oluwadara and his team at Trinity Dental Practice offer PRF injections for qualified patients who want to refresh their appearance. It can be injected into the same facial areas as most dermal fillers, improving your skin by correcting such flaws as thin lips, sunken cheeks, marionette lines, dark circles under the eyes, or brown spots.
